Buried cathedrals

The city crew has uncovered the whole thing now, and quite the edifice it was. Turns out it was a circular barrel vault with a central pillar, all brick, plastered and sealed with tar. Also turns out it was off-center to the street, so our neighbor has lost a few feet of grass out by the curb. Now the crew gets to fill the whole bugger back in and compact the fill and repave, just to get things ready for the massive sewer project that will tear the street up again later this month....
We're thinking of taking the summer off at some quieter location. Probably undisclosed.
