Are we there yet?
Apr. 14th, 2005 10:18 amApparently not.
GHOST POINT keeps getting longer. I had thought the damned thing would come out about as usual for my first drafts, thirty chapters of 3000+ words, net around 100-110 K words. Okay, I'm in the middle of Chapter 28 now, should be getting ready to wind things up, and here's The Shrew just about to head out on skis in a winter rainstorm in the middle of the night. Sure, we've just killed off a couple of Black Hats, but we haven't reached the climax yet, obviously, and then there's the resolution after that. And Beowulf is picketing for equal time. Granted, I'm sure I'll cut stuff in revision and The Nice Editor Lady will cut more, but . . .
Sunshine today, temps supposed to hit about 50 F, but I may put off the bike ride until tomorrow because of wind. So we're not there yet on spring, either.
