In Like a Lion
Mar. 1st, 2005 08:44 amMarch, that is. Not me.
Three miles through a raging blizzard to get the morning newspaper -- uphill both ways, of course. We have acquired somewhere between 3" and 6" of snow so far, with prospects of considerably more. The vagueness relates to the wind, which makes mensuration difficult. Bare ground or old brown snow in some places, 2' drifts in others.
So if I'd have to choose a totem animal right now, I'd be a Canada Lynx, with big snowshoe paws and furry tufts on my ears.
I'm going to ask for a written contract on that "Out like a lamb" clause.
