Cleared the city snowplow's gifts from the end of our driveway, removed the overnight accumulation on other areas, and declared us open for business again. I'm not even crippled from the efforts. Yet.
Headed up to the University Forest for an afternoon ski, assuming that they would have had the trail groomer out in preparation for a race tomorrow. Well, I was half right. As in, they'd groomed half the trails. Hence the title of this little essay.
Oh, well, I do it for the exercise anyway, right? Also had a problem with the base of my skis icing up, they'd get wet in sunny areas and then snow froze to them when I went through shadows. Forgot -- all that ice the last time, hard surface scraped the glide wax right off. That has been remedied.
No writing -- the ski outing could be passed off as research, as The Bitch is about to have trouble with _her_ skis.
