Get 'em while they're hot
Jan. 11th, 2005 03:39 pmWell, a mixed metaphor, at best.
But The Powers That Be are predicting rain and sleet tomorrow, with temperatures into the forties on Thursday, which will play merry hell with the cross-country ski trails. So I went out again today. Deer tracks, fox or coyote tracks, snowshoe hare tracks. And some messy little squirrel-types had been eating spruce and fir cones and scattering the scales all over the snow. Four miles, about an hour.
Of course, I'm hoping that the weather PTBs are no more accurate with _this_ forecast than their usual performance. Trouble is, they tend to be right only when they're wrong, if you follow my twisted thinking.
Made a few minor revisions to DRAGON'S TEETH, based on wife's run through the edited manuscript. As usual, several of them were typos that had slipped through at least four drafts.... Also finished up Chapter XIX of GHOST POINT and printed _that_.
