I'm beginning to get a handle on the changes to DRAGON'S TEETH. Haven't _started_ them yet, but I can take this bit of evil out of one scene and put it into another, adding justification to _that_ bit of blow-things-up. I can move that box out to sea on the back of a lobster boat, with strict injunctions from The Wicked Witch that you just do _not_ open it, on pain of having your brain sucked out your nostrils by eldritch avatars of the elder gods, and then have Him and Her staring at the aluminum case with rampaging curiosity. And I can cut here and paste there and generally turn the thing into a stitched-up composite worthy of Boris Karloff. Then erase the stitching with Photoshop, of course, so that you, Dear Readership, won't even notice what kind of abomination I've foisted on the literary world.
We'll see what happens when I try to talk the characters into doing this, of course. Unreliable types, characters. Sometimes they won't.
