The joy that is winter in Maine
Dec. 11th, 2004 10:40 amThose of you who have read SUMMER COUNTRY know that winter in The Great North Woods can get icky. Today represents that case, with temps a _hair_ above freezing and rain passing through in fits and starts. Sloppy roads, gray world, generalized yuck that may freeze into hummocks and ruts and glare ice patches that will still attack drivers or pedestrians a month from now.
