Oct. 22nd, 2004 02:34 pmAmazon has a sales rating for THE WINTER OAK (16,494) and advertises used copies available for both it and the mass-market THE SUMMER COUNTRY, even though neither book is due out until November. "Usually ships within 24 hours."
Meanwhile, Barnes and Noble continues to list both editions as available for pre-order....
I think I'll let the Nice Agent Lady worry about the business end of writing.
And, in the words of that old Christmas carol, "Angels I have heard on high, telling us 'go out and buy.'"
ADDENDUM: Checked store inventory at Borders on-line, some of the six stores I track show one or the other new edition "in stock." With a publication date of _October_ 2004. Go figure.
