That's the weather today, courtesy of the remnants of the latest hurricane. The low is passing well south of us, but we are on the fringes of the cloud and rain. Gray weather seems to make the fall colors vibrate differently, and the maples in the Caribou Bog were glowing scarlet when I biked through there.

I approve of the city repaving roads. Fresh pavement is kind to bicyclists. However, they should choose work periods when I am not interested in using those routes.

I've always felt mildly head-scratchy over why Romantic Times reviews (or even reads) my books. But Romance sells a lot of paper. More to the point, Laurell Hamilton sells a lot of paper....

The nice Agent Lady reports that RT has reviewed THE WINTER OAK, and excerpts as follows:

"Readers tired of stereotypical fantasy fairylands will find this sequel to THE SUMMER COUNTRY rather refreshing. This enchanted land is as dark and gritty as any urban landscape, which should appeal to fans of Tanya Huff and Laurell K. Hamilton."
