Blood and tears
Sep. 3rd, 2004 06:53 pmWell, the Russian hostage crisis has reached its predictable end. We don't know the body-count yet, perhaps never will.
Too damn easy to commit atrocities when you think that God is on your side. Doesn't matter whether you pray to YHWH, Jehovah, or Allah. Or Marx, Lenin, or Mao. Seems like all ideologies have a peculiar version of "Women and children first."
Days like this, a nice planet-busting comet sounds like a good idea. One like the Cosmic Spirit laid on the dinosaurs. Wonder what _they_ did wrong.
