Wary eye to the sky
Aug. 4th, 2004 08:17 amElder Son stopped by yesterday evening, requesting a ride back to his apartment after work. So I finished supper and we headed across town just as some ugly clouds moved in and started to spit rain and lightning.
Coming back, there's this place with a panorama out to the horizon, and some of those clouds were getting lumpy on the bottom. Maine doesn't go in for tornados, as a general rule, but I've lived in Michigan and Illinois and Georgia, prime twister country. Those clouds looked familiar. Wouldn't have taken much more energy to turn _really_ interesting.
Rainbow afterward, sunshine and cooler this morning.
