... in there somewhere.

Item in today's fishwrapper, political polls. Kerry had a double-digit lead in the previous poll by the same folks, but now he and Bush are dead even. Interesting aspect, though -- Bush's figures actually went _down_. Apparently all those negative ads work. People believe both sides.

Off on a tangent, Cassini seems to have achieved a good orbit around Saturn. Hooray!

Well, I rushed my schedule for the bike ride due to a weather forecast -- "Thunderstorms due between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM." So now it's nearly 10:30 and I'm looking out the window at a nearly-full moon and dry pavement....

At my age, I should know better than to believe those false prophets.

We seem to have a mix of melanistic woodchucks around here. Scared up another one, out between the GE plant and the Air Guard base hardstands, nearly black instead of the normal glossy brown. But maybe he got into an oil spill. That base dates back to WWII, and the military has never been particularly careful about dumping nasties.

15.1 miles, 1:04:30. Damned traffic lights.
