Just received a fan email (YAY FANS!) which generally offered encouragement and ego-boo. But. She had to _order_ DRAGON'S EYE even though she works in a Barnes & Noble. The store had mass-market WINTER OAK on prominent display, but no copies of DRAGON'S EYE.

They can't buy your book if they can't buy your book....

Reports of sightings of DE in the wild would be appreciated.

Clark & Adams had two copies of which I bought one, at the beginning of this month.

This is a report of the closest six Borders to me and only four have it in stock.

Four copies of DRAGON'S EYE at the MIT Coop (Cambridge, MA), along with three copies of mass-market WINTER OAK.

There's a copy at the Waldenbooks I work at. I'm pretty sure. I'll check today and if we don't have, I'll order. :>

Thanks!

(Hey, even if there _is_ a copy, order some more...)

Not all B&N's are equal

I bought a copy of Dragon's Eye last week at a small B&N here on the Westside of L.A. (Marina del Rey). They also had a couple copies each of Summer Country and Winter's Oak and another DE. But last night, that DE was gone, so I presume that one sold, too.

SO when are you gonna come down to Durham and do an author event?

Whew. Maybe that Atlanta B&N had sold out before my informant checked. Hope springs eternal.

That would require scheduling to coincide with a Younger Son event, which remains mathmatically indeterminate. Also, at least the chain stores like Borders and B&N require a hell of a bureaucratic kerfluffle before scheduling things, and mucho lead time.

One copy each of Dragon's Eye, The Summer Country and The Winter Oak at my local Borders in Tucson, AZ. (I almost didn't spot the Dragon's Eye; that spine does rather fade into the background.)

I don't want to talk about that spine. Or the nekkid beefcake on the cover. I just hope the latter gains me as many sales as it loses.
