The world does not revolve around humans. Adult bald eagle cruised across my path this morning, headed toward the river. They may be nesting already.

Been seeing crows, grackles, and the like in ones and twos the last week or so around my neighbourhood. I doubt they ever went away over the winter.

Our grackles migrate. They have been passing through in mixed flocks with red-wing blackbirds, but don't seem to be the ones that will nest here.
