Mini paving crew at work on the street -- patching in the spots where they cut out for catch basins, replacing driveway aprons ravaged by the hordes of death and destruction, even replacing the sidewalk sections ditto. They're racing the clock, or calendar, to get asphalt in place before the glaciers grind down from the north. Or before the paving plant closes for the winter, whichever comes first. Maybe we'll get our road back some day.
Mix of sun and showers today, with a cold front moving through. High temperatures reached in the morning, maybe 52 F, and then downhill. Freeze tonight.
Amazon.com now admits to shipping DRAGON'S EYE. The sales ranking was up to 15,000 +/- this morning, not best-seller or nose-bleed territory but better than the six-digit figures it was showing when the book was in pre-order. A big "thank you" to all the folks who have bought it -- now go back and buy more copies to give to friends and relations and random strangers on the street.
Oh, and that Klausner review is now posted on Amazon. Hope it shills in a few browsing "marks"....
