Cardinal wheep-wheep-wheeping up in the second block of our street. Silly bird doesn't understand Maine winters and that mating season is a couple of months away -- they are recent arrivals in this area.

we havent had winter for real yet in Oregon, so I have a lot of birds still, and now I have frogs singing in the wetlands and tonight I had a small roughy newt on my walkway. It was 60 degrees here today!
