First dragonfly seen -- midrange in size, dark. Go bug go! Also, first yellow hawkweed.
Hobblebush, honeysuckle, and chokecherries blooming along the forest edges.
One live woodchuck, one that had been dead for several weeks if not months. Fur and bones.
Temperature got up into the middle 50s F, gusty wind, but I slathered on sunscreen and headed downriver to the next town. Did not die.
