We have acquired a new microwave oven, same brand and appearance as the old one. But the controls are slightly different. Now I have to stop and think before heating lunch or a snack . . .

Oh, yeah - the "stepping on the stair that isn't there" but at least you're only dealing with focused radiation that, pointed and concentrated correctly, could cook you from the inside out, and not something like a staircase.

(Yes, the staircase is probably 100x more dangerous than the microwave, but where's the humor value in reality?)
