The junkman cometh

Our scenic village, in an attempt to offer something in the way of municipal services for the tax dollars they extort, graciously allows residents to haul bulky trash to the airport a couple of weekends each spring. Stuff the civil servants _won't_ pick up at the roadside collection, even if you tie pink ribbon around it. So I hauled a defunct exercise bike and a decrepit but not defunct power jig saw out there this morning. Had to dismantle the stationary bike first, because it had a big heavy honking flywheel -- guy who unloaded my Subaru grabbed it with one hand, grunted, and came back with both hands. I cheerily informed him _that_ was why it was in my car in the first place....
Home again, grabbed the _real_ bike, and headed out. No eagles, water over the road out in the Caribou Bog again. Guess we know the derivation of the name, eh?
