And the gloom abideth forever

Still dreary. Not raining, just cloud and fog and mizzle, although the weather radar shows Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and western Maine getting drenched. "They" say we will get our share, just . . . later. The bands of rain seem to be moving almost straight north, with only a faint bias eastward.

The goldfinches remain in transition, with some males almost fully turned to their yellow/black finery while others show spots. The females, of course, remain drabfinches.

Here, now -- bright sky, with sun, no hint of rain, though the breeze is still pretty damp. The front yard's far too wet to want to dig in it.... guess later in the week on the cat garden. Forecast is for windy and showers today, rain and showers tomorrow... but still, nice breeze, bright sky, noisy birds here at the moment
