Burn, baby, burn

It's spring fire season up here in Maine, with the grass and brush thawed out and dried out and not yet greened up. We've been having relative humidities in the 10%-20% range, desert stuff, and high winds. Don't even think of tossing that cigarette, thank you. A few dozen fires a day is plenty.

Speaking of burning, ballots this time, I see the Cardinals have elected another old white European to head the world's largest monarchy. Not really my business, but I'd have wished for someone with a bit more melanin. Reflecting the demographics, you know.

Bike ride dusty (see above), no notable wildlife. Got back to find new neighbors hauling stuff in next door, closing to sell current place in progress, closing to buy new place later. Wonder where they'll sleep if one goes through and the other hits a snag....

Definately wasn't going to happen this time round - this bunch of cardinals were nearly all of the "conservative" persuasion. That would have been a rather ...... progressive...... choice.

Oh, I knew that. And I knew Dogma would rule -- this _is_ the age of Dogma, whether you are Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, or Sikh. Don't know about Daoists or Shinto....

But one may wish. And then one may go out for a bike ride and say f**k the dogmatic sons of pariah dogs.
