It's spring fire season up here in Maine, with the grass and brush thawed out and dried out and not yet greened up. We've been having relative humidities in the 10%-20% range, desert stuff, and high winds. Don't even think of tossing that cigarette, thank you. A few dozen fires a day is plenty.

Speaking of burning, ballots this time, I see the Cardinals have elected another old white European to head the world's largest monarchy. Not really my business, but I'd have wished for someone with a bit more melanin. Reflecting the demographics, you know.

Bike ride dusty (see above), no notable wildlife. Got back to find new neighbors hauling stuff in next door, closing to sell current place in progress, closing to buy new place later. Wonder where they'll sleep if one goes through and the other hits a snag....
