We had the power out for a couple of hours this afternoon, large portion of the east side of the city, several thousand people. Squirrel. One of the gray furry critters had a run-in with a power transformer.

Think the power company should start paying a bounty for squirrel tails. Or maybe distribute recipes along with the monthly bills....

Be careful there, I do have a recipie for squirrel head stew amongst others.. My mom grew up in the hills and hollers of Kentucky. Thats almost as bad as pickled eels.. ICK! :)

Squirrel stew, _yum_. Squirrel _head_ stew, I dunno. Take a fair number of the beasts' little skulls to amount to much.

I think yesterday's culprit was pretty well fried, to start with.

I would have to double check, but the book might have something for a fricassee (sp?) of squirrels.. I know the stew was a how to use all the leftover sort of recipie. This cookbook is older thany my mom.. But we won't go there :)
