Skis!
Got out to the city forest again, after waxing my no-wax skis with the Sooper Sekrit Glide Wax (Johnson's paste wax)(I've already told you that I'm cheap.) Got back to the parking lot in time to witness a dog fight. Why do dog owners think it's a good idea to let their beasts run free? Am I going to have to start carrying pepper spray while skiing, as well as when biking?
Anyway, good outing. Got back home to discover that the city had run snow removal down our street (diesel snowblower filling dump trucks) and had left a fleet of icebergs across the end of our driveway. Sometimes they send a pickup truck plow around after, to clear out driveways, but I didn't feel like waiting. Shovel time.
Had a whole flock of redpolls at the feeders this morning. Previous sightings were one at a time.
