Giving us the cold shoulder

Thin overcast, could see the moon and Venus through it, but no other sky objects.  Temperature about 10 F, windchill -2 F.  None of our customary cats on the evening walk, although there was one long-furred dark blotch on the driveway of a house up the block.  Gave the body-language of an interloper to the territory.  Skulk skulk skulk.

Weather prophets keep saying tomorrow's snow will go south of us.  That sounds like a Portent of Doom to me . . .
