Not actually raining

Gray morning, forecast of showers later, chance of snow up in the hills.

Not all political signs yet removed.  There's a law, people.  You have one day more . . .

Is there a law against discussing who the president AFTER the newly elected (but not yet in office) one will be?

Jindal, Huckabee, and Romney are going to make a visit to Iowa... this week.

I don't care WHO won the election. To start discussing the NEXT Presidential race not even a week after the last election drives me totally crazy.

There's no law against you (or anyone else) harvesting a few of those signs. Coroplast is useful for a number of things*, and political signs are a source that comes free.

* For example, the reason we didn't get drenched by this morning's rain is that the holes in our roof from Hurricane Ike -- which we have not yet managed to find a contractor to fix because they're all swamped -- are being covered by political spam signs. They work much better than blue tarps.

I have to agree with an old discussion from Mad magazine circa 1978. I don't have any problem with people leaving up their signs a week after the election. However, I agree with that Mad writer that all candidates, winners or losers, must personally eat all bumper stickers and political signs still up by December 15. Without catsup.
