Obviously no buffalo roaming around these parts (not since the 1700s, I believe)
I thought I'd heard that one of the Buffalo professional sports teams had a farm team up your way ...

Well, FSVO "up your way"; apparently the Sabres recently signed the Portland Pirates as their AHL affiliate.
