Confession of total out-of-it-ness

Okay, there's a slew of announcements that *NAME* has been found dead.  I don't have a clue as to who or what *NAME* is or has done.  Then the announcement that *NAME* was found dead in an apartment owned by *OTHERNAMES*.   No, I don't know or even suspect anything about them, either...

I, Hermit.

My brother in general pop-cultural out-of-itness! I salute you in the name of our mutual ignorance!

I'd seen only one of his performances, and the name certainly did not stick with me. I've noticed, though, that Brokeback Mountain is seen as rather more epoch- and epic-making for the younger set than I personally found it.

"Brokeback Mountain" wasn't really all that good a movie. If it had been made by a UK company it would have been a "made for tv" special.

However he did turn in some half-decent performances in other roles, and he did have a largish following of young female fans, because he wasn't hard on the eyes.

Both of you, c'mon over and sit by me! I too haven't a clue.
