A hot time in Old Town today

And in various other Maine municipalities.  We (not Old Town) reached 83 F this afternoon, one degree shy of the record for the date.  This is about 30 degrees higher than "normal" (a curious concept when applied to Maine weather...)

Celebrated by peeling and slicing some of those greening apples, which Wife then turned into apple crisp.  Yum.

Reality returns later this week.

It already hit here, with a vengeance. Yesterday, we actually went over 90 degrees, which can happen but hasn't in nearly two decades. Right now, it's 48 degrees, and guess who left his leather jacket at home because it was still piping warm when he bicycled to work this morning?
