Slush

(No, not unsolicited manuscripts. Unsolicited snow.)

About an inch of slush all over our corner of the world -- evidence of snow overnight, in one of the less-lovely forms available. Wind still blowing. Retrieved neighbor's empty trash barrels from the middle of the street and dumped them behind his hedge with a certain lack of ceremony -- trash day was last Friday, dammit. If I have offended the Gods of Neighborliness, so mote it be.

Weather is supposed to continue.

By way of offering hope, I note that the gale died away here overnight. Still overcast outside, and nowhere near a seasonable temperature, but at least the wind has gone. I'd guess you have another day or so of it.

Not sure where in state you are but we're in Portland and got no power. I am hogging Whole Foods wi-fi while waiting to go home and see if it's back on yet. Not hopeful.

Weather. Well, it could be worse. I could still live in Massachusetts.

So-called Queen City. The majority of the outages were CMP, according to evening news. Hydro only a few thousand, mostly right on the coast.
