Seasonal Affective Disorder

Here it is, 2:45 PM, and the outside light is turning orange. Sunset actually occurs before 4:00 PM now. Can we move this place into Atlantic Time? Please?

And if we get funny-coloured money and an extra "u" thrown into words here and there, that's a bonus.

We'd be glad to have you. :-)

We're with you on that, all the way. Maybe we can trade Quebec to the US for Maine...

Ooo! That sounds like everyone would win!

A plague on both your houses? Quebec and Washington deserve each other?

I could deal with moving Maine to Atlantic Time. Moving Maine to Canada is a lot more of an issue. That'd mean losing Acadia National Park, Baxter State Park, and a good chunk of the White Mountains National Forest, plus losing half the Isles of Shoals and three thousand miles of coastline! (Let's not even mention the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and Bath Iron Works.)

OTOH, I've got a camp up north of Farmington; would that make me a Canadian Landed Immigrant? Might be some upside after all.

Well, that Base Closure Commission wanted to shut down PNS, and people keep trying to send all the Navy's shipbuilding off to Pascagoula, and I'd think Homeland Security would be glad to be shut of that coastline and the long stretch of wildland border...

And Baxter State Park was a gift to the people of _Maine_, not the USA.

Wife says she'd even be willing to work in a Nature Centre if that proves necessary.
