That seems a lot. The large free range eggs I just bought would work out at $4.60 a dozen. Is $7.99 more than you would normally pay? I understand that bird flu is causing shortages in the US.

Here in Kentucky I paid $3.99 for the store brand dozen, the only brand that was there. Also no other sizes than large. (When my friend has eggs to spare I buy from her, but it's winter and also not long ago a possum got several hens, so she doesn't.)
