Also rattle and thump and whine.
Windy today, as yesterday's storm exits stage left. Our maple tree has maybe 10% of its leaves still attached, with great gaps through which we can now see the neighbors. Other trees, of course, are totally bare or still clinging to green leaves -- the European maples, for example, stand there with confused looks on their faces, muttering about weather that doesn't match their programmed daylight length...
I think I shall wait on raking the yard. Leaves keep heading out to the street on their own, much easier on my back and arm muscles.
