Wednesday roadkill report
Yes! Actual roadkill! Dead woodchuck in the middle of the road, about a mile into my ride. Positive ID because it seemed fresh.
First purple vetch blooms, what I think is blue-eyed grass, and swarms of the yellow hawkweed and buttercups. Also, heard what I am pretty sure was a catbird imitating a tree frog.
KC-135 doing patterns and a couple of C-17s in the visitors' parking lot over at the airport. Still have a detour there, not a good route to share with a UPS semi.
Warmish, little wind, got out on the bike. Did not die. Ride takes me over 200 miles for the year, a poor thing but mine own.
