And now for a word from our sponsers...

Just had a nice chat with [personal profile] rolanni and [personal profile] kinzel about Life, the Liaden Universe (TM), and the Quagmire of Publishing.  (They had other business in town, so no, I don't rate a special trip.)  They left with lunch in their bellies and with a couple of boxes of books.  In theory, if they don't skip to Sao Paulo with the loot, this means that they will have signed copies of THE SUMMER COUNTRY and THE WINTER OAK, trade paperback editions, available through their web site at some time in the future.

And Wife got a chance to fangirl at them.  She's missed several previous chances, due to schedule conflicts or migraines.

I'll post URL and details as they become available.

This really scares me for some reason.

She was very polite, really. :)

I'm not sure that asking you about book progress qualifies as "polite" in writer etiquette...

Perfectly fine in this case, because: (1) I'm still beating my head against working on it; and (2) it's nice that someone beside myself is interested in knowing what happens next.

I do get a little testy when someone asks about a book that's stalled, or one that can't be written right now because of, y'know, that contracted books thing...
