Every so often, the fire department sets up a pumper truck and ambulance on the far side of the park, runs a spray for a while, and then departs. They aren't watering the grass or flushing the hydrant. Such are the puzzles of modern life.

Might just be that they did some maintenance on part of the pumper and they need to run it for X many hours afterwards.

Or it may just be training.
