Black ice morning

(No, not the electronic SF hacker/cracker defense)

Yesterday's rain cleared out at dusk, leaving moon and stars and water on the surfaces and also damp air, which promptly congealed on any available pavement. I expect reports of multiple idiots off the road or attempting to climb trees with their SUVs.

You'd think that by mid-March, surviving Maine drivers would have an effing _clue_...

Speaking of clues, I'm trying to figure out when to whack Fat Wizard with a clue-by-four. I'm dealing with Something Everybody Knows, and it's like that Will Rogers saying* -- "It's not what he don't know that bothers me, it's what he knows for certain that just ain't so."

Anyway, if a particular "fact" isn't true, he has to punch the reset button on his universe.

*Probably misquoted, but I am, as usual, too lazy to do the research.

I have staff to look such things up. QED.

It _looks_ like it was something in the air, late 1800s/early 1900s.
