First smartweed blooming, more of that arrowhead in a culvert pool out in the bog, probable new variety of goldenrod. Lots of asters. You can assume asters from now on. Ditto with the purple loosestrife.
Dead mink by the road through the bog, looked like a youngster about half size. Also, a flat bird that may have been a flycatcher or junco. No positive ID there.
Tossed my fate to the winds and got out on the bike, Overcast, not much wind, we'll see how much damage the pollution did to my lungs. Did not push hard, did not die.
