Air temperature 35 F, wind north about 8 mph, clear sky with half moon waning. Drizzle or mist all day yesterday so the world is damp. More damp due tomorrow and later in the week. Roads posted against heavy loads.

More signs and portents. Crocus noses starting to show, day lily leaves, tips of tulips. And a chipmunk sitting on top of a landscape timber around the corner and up our side street. The chipmunk can retreat to burrow and larder, but the plants don't have that option.
