Three or four ducks in the cemetery pond as I headed out, spotted couple-dozen geese on the other side of the road when I biked back through at the end of my ride. Grazing among the gravestones, which I am sure offends some people.
Roadkill limited to one gray squirrel and one chipmunk. I'd hoped that the brown blob was a red squirrel so we could at least get some noise abatement, but I saw stripes on the way back.
More trees turning, including some of the ash trees, and the tamaracks out in the bog are getting less green. Not yellow yet, but . . .
Temperature in the 60s F when I headed out, much better for exercise than yesterday's 80s. Did not die. Ride takes me over 900 miles for the year. 1000 ain't gonna happen. May still get another 2 or 3 rides in before the weather turns. Or may not.
