The morning after

Air temperature 63 F, wind northwest about 5 mph, cloudy. Rain departed with a fanfare of thunder and lightning overnight, leaving a few gallons of water on our basement floor. Nothing damaged, and I encouraged most of it down the floor drain after breakfast and tai chi. Foraging later.

Nature red in beak and talon

Bunch of feathers scattered around the parking lot at our foraging location, looked like body and wing feathers from a pigeon. We've seen peregrines and bald eagles out there, so we hope somebody dined well.
