Dying throes of March

Air temperature 25 F, wind northwest about 6 mph, clear sky. Supposed to cloud up later, with rain tonight and much of tomorrow. On a day when the barbarian horde is driving south.

Contrail afternoon

No cat friends on my walk route. More snowdrops and crocuses -- we have a white crocus by our garage door now -- and a few of the miniature daffodils that are the earliest. Red and silver maple buds swelling. Haven't seen our chipmunk neighbor in a couple of days, but it's a fleeting thing.
