Winter aftermath

Air temperature 15 F, wind west about 5 mph, sunny. We seem to have gotten about 6" of snow out of the latest storm, which I will have to move once the rest of the household wakes up. The PTBs are offering us a break before further weather adventures.

Snowblower run completed, shovel touch-up underway to let the sun fulfill our aspirations for bare asphalt.

Well, one of three pendants in the kitchen island light seems to have died. Not a bulb dead, that bulb tests okay in another fixture. So it is likely the socket. Which, in this throw-away world, means replacing the fixture. Whee. Guess we track down a fixture we can live with and call in an electrician to install it. Not interested in DIY, even though I've done that before. Old-man-itis.
