Friday roadkill report
One garter snake belly-up on the paved shoulder, probable bullfrog and probable young porcupine in the travel lane. Or the porcupine could have been part of a larger animal.
White asters blooming, both small and larger versions, more jewelweed, much more purple loosestrife. More roadside mowing, as well, so you lose out on those species. Crabapple trees dropping fruit.
Got dry roads, headed out on the bike, got sprinkled on. Nonetheless, did not die. Ride takes me over 800 miles for the year.
