The fog cats return

Usual suspects on the roadside -- white sweet clover, daisies, day lilies, St. John's wort, etc, etc, etc. Cattail heads turning brown, likewise curled dock, and some of the wild raspberries are ripening.
Roadkill limited to a couple of flat squirrels. Not-roadkill, a yearling-sized woodchuck across my path out at the airport road stub, twice. Maybe the same one, going and coming.
Rode across town and over to the airport/base, C-17 and AWACS in the visitors' parking lot. Did not die. Ride takes me over 500 miles for the year.

Today being trash day in the neighborhood, our brand new automated pickup trash bins are lined up along the streets. And I noticed on my bike ride that some people have them out backwards, in spite of the embossed lettering that says "This side toward street" . . .
