Sunday aster ride

Massive banks of asters, including the brilliant purple giants. Goldenrod holding strong, making good accents. Sumac adding red to the roadside, ash trees doing their turn-yellow-and-drop thing here and there.

No roadkill ID -- some blood patches on the asphalt, but no corpses. Couple of turkeys feeding by the roadside, but a wary distance from traffic. Traffic accident on my way back into town, couple of fire trucks, an ambulance, and cops. I threaded my way through without trouble.

Got out on the bike, downriver and inland and over some hills. Did not die.
