Wet Patriots Day

(Going without the possessive apostrophe this year)

Air temperature 43 F, wind ESE near calm, overcast with scattered showers. Boston supposed to be nasty at Marathon time. But I repeat myself.

Patriots Day (observed)

As I mention every year, this is a legal holiday peculiar to Massachusetts and Maine, commemorating the Battles of Lexington and Concord. Maine gets it by inheritance, having been part of Massachusetts at the time. So, this year April 15 becomes April 19 for purposes of legal activity . . .

I have reminded the incessant mourning dove outside my office window that I have recipes for his succulent flesh . . .
