Air temperature 33 F, mostly cloudy, wind south about 5 mph. Supposed to get rain this afternoon or tonight, into tomorrow, maybe mixing with snow or sleet. Prediction of over an inch, which can be . . . interesting . . . with snowmelt and frozen drains and culverts.

A portent of spring?

Had a flock of wild geese calling overhead, maybe 30 -- fairly low, headed northeast, and not yet formed up for cruising. I think they may have taken off from our river.
