Maybe the last mowing of the year -- we have a hard freeze on tonight's schedule. Flattened the green-and-gold patch out front and the fern garden on the far side of the driveway. That last bit had me a bit nervous and reading the road ahead, so to speak, as I didn't know if the paving crew had left any little surprises hidden in the bosky glen.
History lesson
This would not be the first time a US government has supported a dictator that murders dissidents. Nor, likely, will it be the last.
