Gray morning again
Air temperature 56 F, dew point 55, wind SSW about 7 mph, overcast. Maybe bike ride if the roads dry off. On the other hand, bike shoes falling apart . . . they only have about 15,000 miles on them.

You folks talking about boycotting Maine because of Collins, remember that our other Senator voted against the guy. You should only boycott half the state.
About half the trees show color now, maples and birches and oaks and sumac, while some of the ashes and the red maples in the bog are already bare. A couple of tamaracks have started turning.
Flowers limited to banks and swathes of asters and an admixture of cornflower and goatsbeard. Milkweed pods bursting.
Roadkill limited to a muskrat or mink on the opposite side of the road and a scattering of gray squirrels.
Temperature in the 70s F, windy, damp, but I got out on the bike. New bike shoes, 50% off for end of season. Did not die.
